Eastern Point Retreat House sponsors retreats of various types (e.g., Directed or Guided) and of varying lengths (e.g., Weekend, 7 day, 8 day, 30 day) year round.

The retreat house is capable of accommodating approximately 45 retreatants in private rooms with shared bathrooms. Bed linens and towels are provided.

Unless otherwise noted, retreats are conducted in an atmosphere of silence to foster one's own prayer and out of reverence for one another. In keeping with this atmosphere, music is played with lunch and dinner.

Step 1: Find a Retreat

Please visit the Calendar section of this web site and navigate to your preferred event.

Step 2: Pre-register

You must pre-register for every event. You may use our online preregistration form, or print out a copy of the form which you can mail in.

The director thoughtfully reviews every pre-registration to ensure that the requested retreat is an appropriate fit for the applicant. Our goal is to make sure your retreat experience EPRH is the best it can be.

Step 3: Confirmation and Payment of Deposit

After your pre-registration form has been reviewed, we will contact you by email or phone to let you know whether you have been accepted for your preferred retreat.

Upon acceptance, you will either receive a written acceptance either by email (if you pre-registered online) or regular mail with instructions on how to submit payment for your retreat.

Step 4: Final Payment

We encourage you to pay the remainder of your deposit two weeks in advance of your retreat. This will help us to keep the retreat check-in process efficient upon your arrival. If paying by check, please make checks payable to: Eastern Point Retreat House. Please note on the check which retreat your deposit is for. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Please address your envelope as follows:

Ms. Deborah Aiello

37 Niles Pond Road
Gloucester, MA 01930-4499

Step 5: Arrival and First-evening Agenda

Please plan to arrive between 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. This enables the staff to prepare your room and for you to settle in with your luggage. Dinner is at 6:00 p.m. This first dinner is not in silence. General meeting is at 7:30 p.m.

New Retreatant Pre-registration

If this is your first time registering using our revamped online system, you MUST fill out the PRE-REGISTRATION FORM, even if you have filled it out on our old site. After you fill it out once, our new system will automatically remember the information you entered, so that you only need to update it the information changes for subsequent retreats.
